lived through the earth shaking, dams breaking, the subsequent floods
i've spent the past three years looking for reflections in mud
if i never hear the sound of my boots stomping puddles again it would be too soon.

i pulled it together, 'cause now i'm alone - i didn't have much of choice
i've been tuning from station to station searching for the sound of a human voice
i've never been religious but after the disaster i prayed to the moon

and now i've got some things that belong to someone else, but they're dead.
i guess i'd say i'm coping but i'm also far from content.
